18+

Its easier to blog when a.) you have a research paper to write and b.) I'm talking about being pregnant. So, life these days are getting a bit more tired. I have been making more of an effort to eat more frequently and healthy. My biggest cravings are smoothies, although I can't just gulp them down all the time because there is a lot of sugar in there! 18 weeks has me feeling like I have a beer belly. I know its not, but I can't help to think that other people are thinking, "rough, that girls getting chunky" haha. oh well. Along with eating better I need to exercise more...today I did a 15 min bike ride and a walk on the treadmill, plus some stretching and back strengthening exercises. I want to swim again, but I need to get a swim cap and a suit that fits first. I don't want my hair to get even drier than it is in this dang climate and my suit is poppin' in all the wrong places! So thats, that. I am behind on my daily Bible readings, but slowly catching up. I just read about Good Friday in Mark. Now I have to go to work...but happy friday everyone!

ps:
here is my baby 'to do' : start a pregnancy memory book, sew my squares together on the quilt I am making for him/her, plan out felt food patterns for the food "stuffed animals" I want to make... I have been saving my tip money for the birthing center rather than having the birth in the hospital, but it sure is tempting to maybe use it for a sewing machine! :( Someday....haha for now I make due with what I have and I am so grateful for all that it is. Praise the Lord in the good and the bad, my joy is found in Him alone!

17+

Hi,
Nothing much is new here, getting a bit bigger day by day, but that's expected. Feeling the best the past few days than I have so far. It is a funny feeling because on one side I am grateful I am not feeling sick or exhausted and on the other side I wish I was feeling those things a bit because it is reassuring theres something going on...if that makes sense.

Group midwife meeting tomorrow: So meeting with women due around the same time as me. Checking weight and heart rate and hopefully babies heartbeat. Just relating and talking and well, I am excited.

Last night we went to a friends parent's house to celebrate Tyler and Roseanne's engagement. There wedding will be a week before I am due in August...cross your fingers :) Andrew is a groomsman so that is cool. Ill just be his almost bursting wife haha. There was 3 other pregnant ladies there last night! Meghan due in May, Cindy in June, Katelyn in July and me in August. It was neat to see.
Kind of a dumb shirt for a belly picture, but here I am none the less.

Heartbeat

Well, midwife appointment went exceptionally well yesterday... Andrew and I heard our baby's heartbeat, thump thump thump, 120 times per minute. Quite surreal. Thank you Lord for a growing baby inside me :)

Preggers

Well, in this picture we have 3 people...2 of normal size and one about the size of a big lime (3in), growing inside me and making me SO TIRED. But thats a good sign. Surprise! We are pregnant! Most of you probably know. Trusting in the Lord this second time around hasn't been easy, but thats all we can do. We know the baby is already loved more than we can imagine by Him and is already in His arms no matter what happens.

In the picture I am holding up our 8 week ultrasound picture. Currently I am almost 13 weeks pregnant. Baby Wallace will make an appearance some time in August, around the 15th. Met with our midwife, whom we love, and are planning to birth at a birthing center here in Edmonton.

More posts to come, but now I must feed my craving for corn and taco...(while I download spanish lessons to practice for our trip to Costa Rica in 2 weeks!)
Adios!
